That's not the worst I've seen, believe it or not. They did a red and green color scheme for Christmas 2002 that was really loud. It does look like they recycled the Gleemax color scheme, though.

I like it, but I'm RG colorblind...

Perhaps so is their designer.

It's the XBox color scheme.

We're kickin' it kinda-old-but-not-really-skool.

Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.

In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.

Very reptilian-looking.

Then again, I like the color green.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

The April 1 colour scheme for www.rpol.net is even worse. It makes my eyes try to tear free from my head and hang themselves with the muscles/tubes that connect them.

God dammit. The Witchalock is a better and more playable Controller than the officially printed ones. Killing a dude until the end of your next turn is actually a great controller technique for an at-will. It lets you juggle without letting you heap on the damage.

I noticed that as well. Note that every other power they have is fucking useless, even by 4E standards, but that one At Will power means you don't care.

Except there's a spot of confusion with "dies until the end of your next turn". Do they mean:

1. The enemy dies now. At the end of your next turn, they come back to life.
(Does 4E have any penalties for coming back from the dead, like mandatory level loss?)

or

2. Over the course of the next turn, the enemy slowly dies. At the end of your next turn, they are finally dead. Forever?

Granted, even 1 is useful, and worth having, but I like to think it's the second one. Any other class might do well to consider taking that power, if they have any emphasis on the stat it uses.

am I the only one who thinks these are made even worse by their expectations of WotC being brought so low by the company's idiocy?

edit: I went to check out what they were doing for april first for magic, navigated through their bullshit to the articles portal and realized "wait, I don't fucking care."

Wow, some roleplay site that isn't all parchment and/or dark reds, blacks, or blues. I kinda like it. Same for the gleemax one. I fail to see what is so awful about it. Or even noticeable...

Sadly, this is supposed to be funny, but if you flip through their other articles, it's hard to tell that this is really an April Fools, except that this author is a 'comedian'. And Big Hollywood wonders why they're all unemployed...

The only complaint I could have about that site's color scheme (the one Koumei linked) is that the blue text doesn't go well on the green background. Just kinda strains my eyes.

But I agree with Crissa in that I kinda like it.

Yeah, if only it didn't strive for that blue-green or red-blue color blindness, it'd be great. Which really seems to be not so much a joke as a really evil act against people with a disability.

I like their standard scheme - a few shades of blue. It's easy to view and navigate, and doesn't look like the old "it's all scrawled on scrolls, see! In Times New Roman" thing we've come to expect from gaming sites.

But the April 1 colour scheme, with all those bright pastels, looks awful.
